In a bid to curb incessant attack on the people by the hoodlums hiding under the cover of darkness,and to illuminate the towns, member representing Ankpa,/ Olamaboro/ Omala federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has commenced the installation of solar powered Security lights across the Constituency.
Halims, who doubles as the Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development had in a fortnight ago Commissioned fifteen solar powered boreholes across Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas.
In a statement signed by Muhammed Nasir and made available to Agubasun on Monday said so far, the lights have been installed at the Onu Ankpa’s Palace, Primary Health Care, General Hospital, Ojibigo, Okenyi et al to mark the first phase which is to signal massive installation across the three Local Government Areas.
According to the statement, Rep. Halims has hitherto declared 2021 as the year of light as the solar powered lights which will soon flood the three Local Government Areas are complementary projects of his ongoing efforts to permanently end black out in Igala land vis-a-vis the Facilitation of an estimated, fifteen billion Naira Niger Delta Power Holding Company(NDPHC) power plant to be located in Kogi East.
