ABU Alumni Elects Adamu Mamman Kotangora, Dep. National President, Promises new Dawn.

The Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Alumni Association has elected Mr. Adamu Mamman Kotangora as the new Deputy National President of the Association.
In a keenly Contested Election at the 14th Annual General Meeting of the Association held Today in Zaria , in Kaduna state, saw Mamman Kotangora defeating the current Vice Chancellor of Ondo University of Science and Technology Okitikpukpa to emerge Number two position in the Association.
The Deputy National President, who was full of appreciation to God and his colleagues for finding him worthy to bear the torch of the esteem Alumni promising not to disappoint the confidence repose in him.
Mamman who is also the Sarkin Yaki of Afo land disclosed that the ABU had produced Ten state Governors , fourteen Ministers, thirty Senators and over hundred members of the Federal House of Representatives making it the biggest Alumni Association in Nigeria and West Africa.
According to him” I have been a member of the National Conservative Council from 2010 till now, today i am elevated as No 2 citizen of this Greatest Association with such calibre of intellectuals in Nigeria and all over the world.
“I want to thank God as always and appreciate also those that saw me worthy for this position. I appreciate the support of all the delegates in the whole 36 States of the Federation, including FCT and Zaria Branches for voting me.
” Back to my Branch Rivers State, where i started as Vice Chairman and later and even now as the Chairman. I honestly appreciate the entire Strategic Committee and entire members of our dear Alumni Association for the wonderful support.
” In any Annual General Meeting i have attended among the whole ABU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Chairmen in Nigeria i am always call and regarded as SUPER CHAIRMAN ” He enthused.
While calling on all the members to join hands with the new Executive to deliver on its mandate, said it is a new era for the Association.
