Connecting to the Roots.; Aguba, Abah dynasty in Diaspora meets at Emewe Opada– Abocho, harps on Unity.

In response to the Clarion call by the paramount ruler of Ife and chairman Omala Area Traditional Council HRH Boniface Musa, (Jogba) for sons and daughters of Aguba/Abah dynasty who resides outside their ancestral home of Ife to forge a common front for development has yielded results with the second edition of the meeting held on Saturday at Emewe-opada in Biraidu district of Dekina LGA.
The meeting which was held at the instance of the Gago , Egena Onu-ife at Emewe -Opada chief Simeon Echude attracted members from almost seven local Government Areas of kogi east who pledge to keep the legacies of their progenitors flying even in their present place of domicile.
Chief Echude, the chief host , hinted that Aguba and Abah descendants are found in major cities of Bassa, Dekina, Ofu, Idah , Olamaboro and Igalamela Local Government Areas of the state who have been known to be desirous in enhancing the unity and growth of their ancestry.

He commended the Onuh Ife and paramount ruler of Omala, HRH Boniface Musa for his wisdom , love and care to have inaugurated this all important Association of people of common heritage even though their fathers migrated to their present abode many years ago – is to engender love , union and to bring back their fortunes for the development of their ancestral homes.
Egena Onu-ife called on those who are yet to be identified with members of their local chapters to do so while urging the leaders to fish out and extend hands of fellowship to their brothers and sisters who lives in their communities.
While thanking members for skipping their tight schedules to attend the meeting stressing that, he was particularly impressed with the mass turn out of members , saying from Dekina alone, representatives of over 32 communities including  Emewe, Ajegwu , Ajekelaga, Umomi, Of’akaga, Okabo  were among numerous members from various communities from other LGAs that graced the occasion.
In a remark, the Representative of his royal highness , Boniface Musa , Ojogba of Ife , Hon. Steve Shaibu , said the meeting was instituted to galvanize the spirit of love and unity among the children of Aguba and Abah anywhere they may be found.

He said the inaugural meeting was held on the 28 November, 2020 in Lokoja which success story gave rise to this meeting and call for aggressive sensitisation and mobilisation of kith and kin of the great Aguba and Abah descendants.
While acknowledging their contributions to the development of their ancestral homes, said their economic, social and political developments in their various localities are Worthy of recognition and advise them against jettisoning the virtues of hardwork, industry, ingenuity and good characters which their ancestors were noted for.
Recalled the Aguba/Abah descendants Union in the diaspora was instituted by the present OnuIfe and paramount ruler of Omala LGA HRH Boniface Musa to forge unity among the descendants living outside Omala LGA of the state.
