According to the governor, the astronomical rise of Mai Mala Buni from the position of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress to the position of Governor of Yobe State during the 2019 General Election was a clear testament of his political prowess and astuteness.

He described Mai Mala Buni as a great asset not only to the people of Yobe State but Nigeria as a whole.

“As the National Secretary of our great party, the APC, you worked assiduously to ensure the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2015 and 2019 elections and also ensured the APC won overwhelmingly at the various states and the National Assembly seats.

“As you clock another year today, I pray the Almighty Allah grants you long life, more wisdom and strength to contribute more to the progress of Yobe State State and Nigeria at large”, he said.
