Insecurity ; Miyetti Allah promises Partnership with Kogi Government

Miyetti Allah promises joint vigilante to flush out criminals in Kogi.

 

 

The Kogi state Chapter of  Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria ( MACBAN )  has  promised to set up its vigilante outfit to work in synergy with the government to flush out criminals from the state.

 

Just as it has drummed  support  for Governor  Yahaya Bello’ on his new assignment by the Northern governors forum as the chairman of the security committee to wipe out bandits, terrorists and other criminal elements from the Northern Nigeria.

 

Chairman of Miyeti Allah  association in the state, Alhaji Wakili Yusuf Damina, stated thus  in Lokoja over the weekend  that  the Fulani herders operating in the state will always remain loyal and law abiding in view of the assurances of security of lives and property given by the government.

He also expressed satisfaction with the state Commissioner of Police Ayuba Ede for his prompt response to complains and distress calls, which has saved a lot of crises between farmers and herders, adding that the body will complement police efforts by setting up it’s own vigilante groups to work with the police.

 

He explained that the vigilante major assignment will be to  disseminate  intelligence information to the security on kidnappers,  cattle rustlers and bandits as they are residing in the areas vulnerable to these types of criminal attacks.

 

The Fulani leader therefore appealed to the people of Kogi state to accommodate his members in the fight against insecurity and criminality so as to enable harmonious coexistence  to enhance ,social and economic development of the state. .

Alhaji Damina who expressed gratitude to the governor, appealed to him to include the Fulani in his cabinet as was the case during the first tenure so that they can contribute their quota to peace building
