Suspected Gunmen loyal to a political party in the ongoing west senatorial election have been arrested in maternity polling unit, Okekoko Ward of Kabba/ Bunu LGA of the state..
The thugs were arrested after they have been preventing electorates from casting their votes.
It was gathered that the gunmen were brought in to disrupt the voting process at the unit believed to be the stronghold of the candidate of PDP, Senator Dino Melaye.
According to a reliable source, the thugs leader, one Mike Olojo who was alleged to be working for a legislator from the area in the state House of Assembly was caught with AK 47 and large quantities of ammunition by the eagle eyes of the locals who later handed them over to the polling manning the polling unit.
When contacted the commissioner of police Hakeem Busari feigned ignorant of the incident, but however promise to contact relevant officers for details .
